To earn one of these top spots, our client, a renovation company, needed a strong online authority so they could rank higher for relevant keywords.
Before Authority Builders, our client had a domain authority of 9, which led to subpar rankings and missed opportunities for organic traffic.
Here’s what we did to improve domain authority and create a ripple effect to improve SEO.
The Strategy
Our ABC Plus service was the best fit for our client, given the emphasis on link-building and contextual keyword usage. We include anchor text analysis, link velocity analysis, and authority diagnosis with every month of this service. We also hand-pick each of our target websites, ensuring the greatest relevance that will help us get results.
Our goal was to build the website’s overall authority, which would naturally allow it to rank for more keywords and achieve higher positions. In addition, high-quality links have the potential to drive traffic to the client’s website, so we took search intent into consideration when choosing keywords.
The Results
Across nearly two years of ABC Plus, we helped our client achieve a domain rating of 31—a 244% increase. Domain authority is one metric that represents a website’s chance of ranking well in search results: the higher the DA, the more likely it will be to rank. We proved this idea by seeing a rise in organic traffic and keywords congruent with the increase in domain authority.
Traffic peaked at 1.4K monthly visitors, a substantial increase from 158 visitors at the onset of our working relationship. Growth in organic traffic is a direct result of link-building (which sends free referral traffic to the client) and keyword usage (which adds context to the client’s website and allows them to rank for more keywords).
In total, our client currently ranks for 1.2K keywords, with 58 keywords earning a position in the Top 3 on search results pages. Traffic continues to grow alongside newly discovered keywords, a testament to consistent and purposeful link-building.
